Due to the visit of Ellen Kray (DG Move) to Austria, the region of Styria held an event in Graz in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Austrian Industries and the Chamber of Labor. The goal was to discuss and give information about the Baltic-Adriatic Axis and transport cooperation.
Target audience of the event: local and regional politicians, special interest representatives of social partners, local and regional administrations, companies in the business of logistics and cargo, universities and research facilities and construction industry and civil engineers.

Over 80 participants attended the event.
The key notespeech was given by Ellen Kray, who illustrated the process leading to the development of the Core Network TEN-T. Following this, five panels discussed the arguments for admitting the Baltic-Adriatic Axis to the Core Network of TEN-T. On the one hand, the project BATCo, represented by the regions of Carinthia, Styria and external experts, was introduced to regional stakeholders. On the other hand, the advantages of the axis and cooperation in transport were assessed from different viewpoints.
